Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
Short version: Tumblock has no accounts and doesn't ask for your name or email. Your scores and settings stay on your phone. The game shows ads from Google AdMob, and Google may collect device data to show and measure those ads. In the EU and UK you're asked for consent first, and you can change your choice at any time.
1. Who we are
Tumblock ("the game", "we") is developed and published by Mark Horton, Norway, who is responsible for the processing of personal data described here (the "data controller"). Contact: support@playtumblock.com.
2. Data stored on your device
The game saves the following on your phone only. It is not sent to us:
- Best scores, daily results and your daily streak
- Rotate and continue tokens, daily spin timing
- Settings such as sound, vibration and theme
Uninstalling the game or clearing its data deletes all of this.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
Tumblock is free and shows ads, including optional ads you choose to watch for a reward. Ads are provided by Google AdMob. To show, limit and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect and process:
- Your device's advertising ID
- IP address (used to estimate approximate location such as country)
- Device and app information (model, operating system, language, app version)
- Interactions with ads (views and taps)
Consent (EU/EEA, UK and Switzerland): before any personalised ads are shown, the game asks for your consent using Google's consent message. If you decline, you may still see non-personalised ads, which use less data. You can change your choice at any time in the game's settings.
Advertising ID: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings (Settings › Privacy › Ads on most Android phones).
Google's use of this data is covered by Google's own policy: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
4. In-app purchases
If you buy something in the game (such as removing ads), the payment is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your card or payment details; we only receive confirmation that the purchase was made.
5. Sharing your score
When you tap "Share score", your phone's share menu opens with a short text containing your score. Nothing is sent unless you choose an app and send it yourself.
6. Legal basis (GDPR)
- Consent: for personalised advertising.
- Legitimate interests: for non-personalised ads, fraud prevention and keeping the game working and improving it.
- Contract: to deliver in-app purchases you make.
7. Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because we don't hold accounts or personal profiles, most data related to ads is held by Google; you can manage it through your Google account and device settings. For any request, email support@playtumblock.com. You may also complain to a data protection authority; in Norway this is Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.no).
8. Children
Tumblock is made for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we'll help remove it.
9. Data retention and security
We don't keep a database of players. Data on your device stays until you delete the game or its data. Data processed by Google is kept according to Google's retention policies.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as the game changes, for example when new features are added. The date at the top shows the latest version.
